Six cents difference. To waive off or to go after them

As a part of my deals, I am getting my returns back this few days. In one of the deals, I discovered that I had been short changed six cents. I had my own tracking and was shocked to discover the shortage. Now there are exchanges on the calculation of the return resulting in the difference in the short fall. What will you do if you are me? To continue to go after the dealer based on my calculation or to waive this amount off out of goodwill?

Six cents can be waived off...not a big deal. Am I right?

Yes it is not a big deal but it is a matter of principle plus potentially they could be wrong in every calculation which an error of a few cents from each person could reason in a huge deserving profit for them. These six cents are rightfully mine. So I am not sure how hard will I want to plus

@id_peace If the six cents affects in long calcuations then it is better to talk and get the same. You don't want to face loss of money in the long run.

Six cents is not too much. If it's hard to complain, I'd rather give up.

It is not hard. I can let go but I do not want it to be something that I would keep losing money cos of inaccurate records

I'd make the dealer aware, so it won't happen again.

I would just let it go, it will probably be more of a hassle to go after it then to let them have the 6 cents

The reason why I go after them is cos I am to be taxed of the six cents that I do not get if it is due to the fact that they do an incorrect calculation.

It is online statement which the issue is ultimately resolved. The reason for this is that they had put a very small note in somewhere that deal was paid off earlier by the client resulting in the short fall.

Six cents is six cents. I always live by the thought that even if someone takes a penny...if they take a penny from 100,000 people and they don't argue about the penny the absconder walks away with $1,000. If they do it to a million people they walk away with $10,000. With six cents they walk away with $6,000 or $60,000. Pennies add up.
