First meal turned out great!

My first meal of pot roast, red potatoes, carrots, and onions...turned out superb in the new slow cooker, that I received for my birthday.
I read a lot of reviews on this cooker, and most were awesome; and did exactly what it said it would do. Cooked a good meal perfectly.
Can't wait to try other recipes.
Anyone want to come over for some supper? LOL

I don't have one of those. I like the fact that this has a warmer. So I can keep it ready to heat until put the leftovers a way. I love dutch ovens. I just can't afford to get one. They are so expensive.

@teresatrotter You can get a Lodge enamel coated Dutch oven for about $50. I had one for years and it was great. My husband bought me a 7 quart Le Creuset one for Christmas a couple of years ago for like $350.

@NJChicaa - I love those Le Creuset dutch ovens, but I live on a modest $750 a month. And if it wasn't for friends who gets me things, I usually have to wait to find it at a thrift store. And so far no one has been willing to give theirs up yet, or it gets taken before I get there. LOL

@teresatrotter it is so much easier, with a slow cooker, my ex hated the taste of food in a slow cooker.

It was. I kept eating it all day. Almost half is gone. I have never eaten that much before. LOL
