Diary 27th And 28th May 2018

Diary Sunday 27th May 2018 A quiet day of resting, watching TV, writing online and a little shopping. Diary Monday 28th May 2018 A national bank holiday here, the Whitsuntide, Pentecostal weekend. For me it means restricted public transport, a day when we have no postal deliveries and shops and libraries close early. I actually find myself restricted today rather than given greater freedom. I still had to do my job searching online too. It is a beautiful warm day out. Arthur Chappell

At least the bank holiday panic-buying of essential groceries doesn't seem to happen so much nowadays. During the snow in March it was like a siege!

If you depend on public transport, public holidays could play havoc with your plans.

I may be a bit strange - but I have never really liked public holidays during the working week, when important establishments and offices are closed.

@Kandae11 exactly my thinking, many places I would go are out of reach now until tomorrow
