Whodunnit? Can you name that song and artist? Just think of girl's names which begin with an "R" it just might put you on "track" to name that tune. Rosalita (Come Out Tonight) is our feature video and Bruce Springsteen considered this the best love song he ever wrote! Springsteen called the song, "A kiss-off to everybody who counted you out, put you down, or decided you weren't good enough." Oh Rosie, Rosie, come out tonight and lead us to some sweet R-titled lady songs. Enjoy the music as you read over today's clues.... Here we go: 1. Such a great song about a girl who breaks the guys heart and takes up with a different guy. So the jilted boy turns his attention to another gal, who looks really good, to"help him get her out of his heart." Fun fact- Daryl Dragon, The Captain from The Captain & Tennille, played organ on this. Glen Campbell contributed guitar . This California band consists of 3 brothers, a cousin, and a school classmate of one of the brothers. The single peaked at #1 and was sung by the band's guitarist. The song's up tempo good vibration always gave off a summer feel to me. 2. This tune is from a British rock band which formed in London in 1977. The song is about a man who falls for the wrong type of girl. He pleads with her in the tune's lyrics not to turn on the red light which is an indicator of her profession. There is quite a rich history behind the name of this song. It was the name of Alexander The Great's wife and Cyrano de Bergerac's girlfriend. This punk/new wave band's name is associated with a law enforcement profession. 3. This American band which formed in Los Angeles enjoyed great commercial success in the late 1970s and 1980s. The tune's female name was inspired by the band's keyboard player's actress girlfriend. The song had a couple of notable performers featured in their video, Patrick Swayze and Cynthia Rhodes from the film "Dirty Dancing." The track was off the group's 4th LP in 1982, which won a Grammy Award for Record of the Year in addition to Album of the Year. There were a few rumors regarding the naming of the band, one being they were named after a famous dog in a popular 1930's movie. This was actually a joke told to the press by one of the band members. P.S.- Shout out mention to another great R-girl tune, "Rikki Don't Lose That Number," by one of my favorite groups Steely Dan!!! Do you know the names of the songs and artists? Good luck and use those clues! If your stuck and need additional help just let me know in your response. Glad to throw a few more hints your way and aid "your search of that lost chord" or in this case tune. Enjoy the continuing series, comment, check out the trivia answers and see if their your favorites too. And as always, thanks for reading my music post!!! Well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad!! #3- The band's name is the same as Dorothy's dog in The Wizard of Oz. The song sounds similar to the name Gilda Radner used to report the news on Saturday Night Live. Good luck

@dgobucks226 At least I know The Beach Boys and because I listened to a lot of oldies last week looking for one song in particular, I know the song too. The others - no to both song and group.

@just4him Other two songs were in the late 70's. Sometimes I venture out of 60's/Oldies comfort zone

Glen also toured in Brian’s place when he had an anxiety attack right before a tour started. That’ll make Rhonda gentle on his mind! Andy had a great line about their name: “we saw it on the side of a car.” I saw them in 81 with A flock of Haircuts, ahem, Seagulls opening. Andy just blew me away. And, decades later, we learn it wasn’t really about Ms. Arquette, but Steve let everyone think so. A few million records later, why spoil a good legend? And you watch reruns of Hollywood Squares, See Charley Weaver, and say, THAT is her grandfather?????”
