Costly smiles.

When does smiling become very costly for someone who returns a smile to a stranger? Well it can be costly for someone married to an excessively jealous person who is totally out of control.
Years ago when I was married, I learned the hard way that when I was out with my husband (now ex) I could not dare smile back at any male person - or I would pay a heavy price when we got home. So to be safe, I thought it best to wear a permanent frown on my face whenever we were out together. Naturally I hated going anywhere with him - I felt as if I was in the company of a time bomb or a dangerous animal.
I soon realized I was in big trouble when he started imagining that I was smiling at passer by.
Have you ever been in a situation where you find yourself doomed if you do and doomed if you don't? Or have you ever been involved with an insanely jealous person?

Been there, I get it. I thank God that part of my life is over and I don`t have to deal with that anymore. I was not allowed to talk to men at all!

No, but I knew people who were. They were a different person when their other half was not with them.

@Kandae11 Yes it can. I have seen couples fight because someone smiled.

Hi Kandase. It actually is creepy when he keeps imagining things. He is so possessive and would think of whatever. Good thing you left him.

Yikes. With mine, any man that dared appear in his range of vision was someone I was 'cheating' with. He'd also accuse me of saying things that I didn't say and then end up hitting and choking me before driving off in his car. Actually when I think about it I don't think he was really worried about me cheating because if you're worried about your spouse cheating, you don't leave her alone for two, three days at a time (were talking someone who didn't have a job and when he was working it wasn't with a job that would have kept him that late), or go spend your whole day, even valentines day with your ex girlfriend. I feel like if you do those things, you deserve to get cheated. Unfortunately I'm an extremely loyal person, even if it's someone I don't love. He is a psychopath for sure

Yeah my ex GF would flip out and accuse me of cheating if I even mentioned a female name.
I'ld be like "So I was making some copies, and Stacey said-"
Ex-GF: - "Who's Stacey?"
Me: "A person at work. So anyway, Stacey says -"
Ex-GF: "So you and Stacey are a thing now?"
Me: "No. What? I'm lost."
The irony of it was that she had convinced herself so much that I had cheated on her that she cheated on me to get revenge. Some people.

@Kandae11 I would not want to know (lol)
In fact in our case I would say it was the other way around. One day my husband got a recipe book from his lady colleague and asked me to try out a recipe from there I promptly asked him to return that book and never to have anything to do with that colleague discussing recipes
