I know, I haven't been around in a while. Still lots of stuff happening, and I'm so not prepared for school ending this week. The house is going to be sooooo full all day long!
Well, not completely full all day long... one of the kids has a math summer camp activity for a month, we're trying to get another one enrolled in a coding camp, and also trying to get the high schooler enrolled in her school's summer program (in order to get additional time to work on Spanish), and my oldest has a summer class at one of the local community colleges.
The oldest 3 also have bus passes (the college student has one for the whole year, and the other two have ones through our transit system's Summer Youth Pass program), so I'm sure they'll be exercising that independence whenever they can get away with it. 
I've been looking through my "too hot to cook" recipes and have been so thankful for my Instant Pot. It was 95°F here yesterday and is expected to get to 90° again today. There have been requests for lemonade, so I'm sending the kids out in a bit to pick lemons. I'll be back in a few hours to catch up on notifications and to read everyone's new posts.

I do miss being here. I'm still adjusting to the details of parenting such a large brood. Maybe I'll start getting up earlier in the mornings so I have time to post, especially since the kids won't have to hurry out the door so early when school is out.

I hope it won't be too crazy either. We haven't purchased our water park passes yet, which will be another way that we avoid being cooped up in the house with the heat.

Hi Kelli, welcome back. I have just been away for the half term holiday here. Our summer break doesn't start until around the last week in July. Our kids went back to school today (4th June) to do the last term. Your school holidays are so different to ours. Wishing the you the best of luck with them!

@spiderdust Our kids go back at the beginning of September but I think we have more breaks over the year, half term breaks which I don't think you have.
Today my granddaughter has gone on her leaver's trip to a theme park with huge rides as she goes to High School in September. They raised the money themselves by doing a sponsored swim. I shall worry about her of course as the rides are huge and scary but she has been so excited about going.

Yes, it does seem like your school years are set up very differently than ours. When does their summer break end? Our kids go back to school in mid-August, and their last day of school is tomorrow.

It's my favorite way to boil eggs! I made sweet & sour chicken in the IP for dinner, and it didn't heat up the kitchen at all.

Yes, we did miss you, Kelli:) I'm glad things are a bit easier, than last month. Lemonade, that sounds delicious:) Our thermometer was at 45-degrees yesterday, far too chilly here next to Lake Huron!

@spiderdust Our temperature was 92 one day. The following day, it was 56! Almost 40 degrees difference, in 24 hours

I am not ready for them either, I do not have kids but seems the that they will go wandering while the parents work, and that means into my woods and my sheds and I do not allow it.
Or the parent tells them "go out and play" and that means to them go wherever you want and do whatever you want.
I hope all of them gets into the programs so you have some time for you.

I keep thinking that in the fall, all of them will be in school, at least for 2 days out of the week (toddler has preschool). It's still a few months until then, unfortunately.
