The Mystery Of My Tennis Shoes Have Been Solved...

I figured out what happened to my tennis shoes. In the past... I had always aired dried them, so I did not have to hear that clunking sound in the dryer. Because this dryer was so huge, I decided to put them in there, rather than waiting a day for them to dry. Now... My tennis shoes in the past have always slightly shrunk a little bit, but ended up stretching out again, once I'd wear them. I decided to see if I could try to glue my soles back on the shoes, when I noticed that the soles were way too big for the shoes. The tennis shoes themselves shrunk so much, that it just ripped the soles right of the shoes!!! I guess if the rubber soles had shrunk at the same velocity as the tennis shoes did...the soles could have adjusted to the size. But since the soles stayed the same size, there was just not enough shoe to keep the soles in tack. I have never in my life, seen this happen in all the years I have been wearing tennis shoes. Weird...

Was the temperature of the machine hot or high? My husband told me something about that because some of our clothes are shrinking when we had it washed in the laundrymat.

The dryer heats a lot and the cotton shrinks more with the heat.

I do think that some shoes changed its shaped when randomly washed. It is also the same thing with the clothes. I hate it if one of my favorite T-shirt shrunk after washing it.
