My Neighbors Arrested

Yesterday morning was interesting for about 5 minutes. I was just starting to do my online work when I heard several car doors slam. It was a little unusual for that time of morning. I didn't really hear any voices, but I decided to look out my window and I seen a man standing in front of my neighbor's porch. These neighbors haven't been living there long as the house is a rental. I noticed that the man was wearing a Kevlar vest and he had a handgun on his hip. By this time there was a couple more undercover police there and the neighbors were standing on the lawn. Then they were separated and taken to different vehicles. They were cuffed and frisked before being put in the vehicles to be taken away. I don't live in a bad area, but I guess crime and criminals are everywhere. I seen today after I got home from work that they are back home. I guess whatever it was wasn't serious enough to warrant them to be kept in jail for more than a day. Picture from Pixabay

They probably just made some weed brownies and ate the whole pan. When they thought they were dying they called 911. After talking with the dispatcher describing what happened, instead of dispatching the ambulance, they dispatched the police. Happens all the time....so I heard.

Well they could have shared instead of being pigs. When I told my sister that I seen them sitting on the porch today she said I should have went over there and said hey I seen you get cuffed what happened. I am like I don't think so.

@Hannihar I have no idea about either, but it is common around this city so it wouldn't surprise me.

We really couldn't tell when one is a criminal these days because they could really be very friendly neighbours but we could never guess what's hidden in their basement.

You are so right. I don't think they had anything in their basement as I am sure the police would have found it and they haven't been there long enough, but you do hear those kinds of things on the news.

That is true we don't know who people really are. As long as they don't bother me or my kids I am fine with them living there.

Maybe the police were at the wrong place. Unless it makes the news you probably will never know. Maybe someone made false claims against them.

Anything is possible. I don't think they were at the wrong house, but you never know. I don't watch the news and I don't think it would have made it anyway. I will just have to keep guessing because I probably will never know.

I wonder why the police took them all away in different cars to the police station. It doesn't sound like a serious crime otherwise the would be put into police custody right away. Yes, this would happen if they are dangerous people because they would be criminals. Under cover police don't wear a police uniform and I am surprised they came there.

When I said undercover, I meant detectives or plain clothes police officers not the kind that go undercover and infiltrate crime organizations or other types of criminal activities. Yes if it was a serious crime then they would have stayed in jail.

I hope it wasn't a serious thing. But then, be careful. We don't what's the real reason why it happened.

@morgoodie It is nice to hear that. That's a possibility and the tenants changed at random.

I doubt it was anything of the serious nature or they wouldn't be at home now. I will be careful. I tend to keep to myself since the neighbors change so frequently because most of the houses are rentals.

The first thing that came to my mind was a domestic dispute. Of course I don't think it's protocol for both of them to be detained. The fact that they were in plain clothing makes me think that I am wrong. I saw one person suggested it was a case of false accusations. That seems more likely.
