so..i'm due to have a hysterectomy in about a week or so..i have 20 pounds of masses pushing things where they shouldn't be in my gut,so out it comes.
i sure won't miss being afraid of sneezing too hard..
i did not need their wonderful great description of "we'll make 3 cuts here, then pull it out your.."..nevermind.
but,what i was getting at..
they say after the surgery, they are sending me home.the same day.
say what?
now, they did this the last 2 times i had surgery for something else,but..
is it just me,or do they seem a little quick to be sending home?
they used to keep you for at least a week just in case.
i hear new mothers get sent home in a day now too..

That does seem odd for the complications that could arise. I am not sure, I pretty much stopped seeing doctors and hospitals with the way they made it all about money. I would not know if that is the new normal, but pretty sure if it is, because they did indeed just see a price tag on us.

Wow. Even I'm supposed to be kept overnight after I have my surgery (whenever the hell that winds up happening) and they are just removing my fallopian tubes and cleaning up the scar tissue/endometriosis in there. I've always heard that they keep you in the hospital about 5 days for a hysterectomy. I've never heard of anyone being sent home the same day.
