How can I spam you if you don't accept PM messages?

Or maybe you just don't wanna talk to me. 
There are three messaging options here:
o Anyone can message me, except for those I've blocked
o Only those I follow can message me
o No one can message me
Now, it is simple to know when someone has chosen the first option, because all three buttons normally seen on a profile (Follow, Send Message, Block) are all missing.
Oh well. 
But sometimes the only button missing is 'Send Message'.
And then I have to wonder which of the other two options have they chosen. 
Do they not want to talk to anyone, or is it just me? 
If I look through the people they follow, and I find myself, then I know they don't want to talk to anyone.
But if I don't find myself, then it could be either. 
And then I am left in a quandary.
How am I supposed to talk about someone here behind their back if you don't accept messages from me? 
Of course, if I know you on facebook, I can always message you there, instead.
But occasionally I will go to talk to someone here that I don't know on facebook only to find out I can't.

I actually have not blocked anyone here but someone I am about to. Do not worry, I have no plans of blocking you so feel free to message me (if need be) hahaha

i think jj is referring to a member you interact with here in the discussion area, but has blocked the private messaging option for everyone; meaning they don't want to receive any private messages from everyone, including those they interact with.

That is weird though. What are the chances that other members will message that user unless that user did something?.

i actually didn't like that the default setting is anyone can message us so new mylotters get bombarded by all kinds of messages. but i know jj has a different opinion on this.

@hereandthere I know for a fact some newbies change it to 'no one can message me' as soon as they join, and then get mad because people point the guidelines out to them in open discussion

I never noticed all those as I'm not always visiting any profile. I just respond to discussions that interest me and if I have something to contribute. Anyway I always welcome anyone here to be a friend. This is an interaction site and we need each other for more earning lol. Seriously. I talked to whoever wants to talk to me and never push myself to anyone. Happy to be friend to all. Have a great day.

I don't visit them often, but occasionally I may want to say something to someone that I don't think should be posted in an open discussion

I have never noticed. Do people still do that in this advanced age of cultural civilization? I have lost 40 so called friends. 1 real friend or thought 1 Mylot friend but truly not real friend and funny thing lost no friends on here or Facebook in last 6 months and did shameful things like play punk rock to Trump supporters.

@JolietJake I found saying your peace gets you in trouble so say it on here and not Facebook works much better but make a post about it and let people decide for themselves.

@JolietJake maybe because they've received spam mail or inappropriate mail when they were new.

Yes, it is interesting why some choose the way they do. Especially when they are people who you know you are also friends with on Facebook. I guess they feel here it is best not being bothered seperately?

Where is that 2X4 you keep laying around, just in case you need it? It's possibly over standing in a corner somewhere. Block you for what, for tellling the truth? LOL You should be able to PM anyone on this site. That's one of the options they've given us to communicate. If certain people don't like me, I just leave them alone.
