How Important Is TV for you?

By TV I mean television, may be old fashioned or new one which can help in attaching USB as well and most have option of using Internet on them as well and that's why I feel that those TV are very much important, At least for me.
We all are aware that Internet is much superior but as New technologies have combined both TV and Internet, we can get the max entertainment from that and can watch our favorite shows whenever we want.
What are your views about it? Is TV still important for you? Do you still like to watch TV? Please share.

Not much watching of tv but if I do, I watch those murder series and other shows that suit my fancy.

Hmm... I don't actually watch TV much because I do most of my watching on the internet.
But the rest of the family watches TV a lot. They have things they watch everyday, mostly local soaps, series, variety and talent shows. I don't really follow those, but when I'm at the computer, which is just next to the TV, I end up 'half-watching' the shows they watch so I know more or less what's happening in the story, etc.
Add:
Oh, a comment elsewhere here reminds me... news and public affairs programs are probably the things on tv that would be most useful for me.

Not so important or not important at all. I could actually do without it. What I cant do without is my lappy and internet connection. Its very important for me.

I basically don't watch TV. It is more convenient to watch video on the smart phone.
