Good Tuesday afternoon my fellow users of this site. How are you? At last, I was able to finish my notifications and right now I am sitting in front of the television watching my afternoon drama series, "Sharpshooter "(Asintado).
I prepared our lunch. I did peel ginger and onions, crushed black peppers, added vinegar and salt and mixed this concoction in a bowl for the raw oysters as appetiser, but we had this as a viand for lunch
The ginger however was a bit dry and there were sprouting roots already. I therefore told my sister to buy ginger. The older pieces do not have that taste anymore.
The ginger? Well I went out at the veranda, searched for a flower pot, and pressed down these 3 pieces of ginger in to the moist soil.
I know I have no green thumb but I hope that aside from okra, I will be able to grow ginger with minimal watering.

i think they grow like how onions do too. the stalks of the spring onions are good to mix with some dishes that need more taste.

@AKRao24 but i think in a big land, or what we call a plot, onions, garlic, and tomatoes can be grown all together, right?

no, i believe you have to cut a piece of the ginger and press a piece with a sprouting root, on a moist soil.

the fresh oystaers are given to us by our kid brother when he had a get=together with his friends in a town far north. i prepared the dish and i recall my late mother who asked me to prepare the dish a day before she left us. it is a belief that those who are dying, want to fill themselves up with their favorite dishes. this oyster dish was one my mother asked me to prepare

i hope so too. i saw the pressed ginger and it is okay for now. hahaha! i don't know if it will grow. i actually placed it in a flower pot concealed from my sister because for sure she will ask me why i planted ginger in that pot.

we cannot buy a piece of ginger here because if we do, it is costly, unlike when we buy maybe 1/4 kilo, we can save some in the fridge. the ginger that i planted was not refrigerated; it was placed in a bowl with the onions and garlic.
