If I bang a nail in the wall the whole place falls down so I depend on others and John is one of them!
He is amazing but don't tell I said so--I will deny it!!
Old rule or new rule I am not sure but they are now enforcing NOTHING on the window sill and regarding curtains, all facing out must be white--uniformity you know!!
I have 14 plants on my window sill(s) plus 12 facing east while not on the sill certainly visible. I am waiting for the blinds before I move the rest of the plants.
In any case, I mentioned it to John Saturday and today he brought this to my place making it Tuesday!! Measurements are perfect in height and length.
I've shown you pictures of his art pieces and the work he does for the 1st Baptist Christmas Pageant--in his spare time he is 'making'/'doing' things for his neighbor including, I remember, his making a bed frame for a resident!

Looks nice. He sounds like a gifted person. I am not handy at all. I am thankful to have my grandson and daughter here. And maintenance comes if major things go wrong.

I love that last quote. We need uniformity where I live too, though we can have any color curtains, they must be the same type. I only have the blinds that came with the apartment. There are no window sills here. I hope you get it all taken care of soon. Love your plants.

I love my plant too. I use to have 20 more out on the walkway outside my door but they insisted that they be taken inside. They pulled out gardens resident took time and money to make--'everything on the outside has to be uniform--that' their favorite word!

@just4him Oh I love it here!! THing is we use to be 'owned' by a church group and the residents came first--3 years ago we were taken over by a corporation and now the bottom line comes first BUT I live in big apartment surrounded by water, boats and million dollar homes! If I can post it I show just a small part of Gateway!! This is Karen Bay at the tip of the property!

@GreatMartin Here too. It's the one thing about living here I don't like, but since it's the only thing, I can handle it. I love the complex and the people/management are great.

I can't wait to be old too!
I remember I was more handy than my two brothers back when we were all still living under the same roof. I could fix things that they couldn't. Whenever a plumber comes into our home I would ask him questions and would observe how he do things.
But from the time I got married, I just left everything to my husband.

I read your discussion once but forgot to like and comment. So not it's time for me to add my 2 cents. That window plant bench is perfect and doesn't take up too much space. Perfect place to get the plants right up in the sunlight. I might make me one of those. I think indoor plants add lots of cheerfulness to the home.

I owned a home once--that was enough! Now I can call for the maintenance guy and he is here within 24 hours and fixes whatever needs to be fixed!
