My eyes are closing, friends. I invited a couple of friends I hadn´t seen fon some time for lunch. They came at 1 PM and they just left (7:30pm.)
I offered then more things to eat as they had both drunk more than their share of wine and other liquors so that if a cop came their way, they would end in jail.
It would have been a shame for a 80 year old couple!
I am very sleepy now. So I will take a late nap. I have to eat something at around 10 pm so that I can have my blood tests tomorrow.

They have one daughter in Chile and the other has lived in the US for around 30 years. I hope they reach their house safely. They don´t live too far away from my house.

@marguicha We sometimes take a chance if we have dinner with our friends who live just around one or two corners. We would never be too drunk but probably enough to go over the limit if we were pulled up and breathalysed.

The cops watch out for that over there took, huh? I didn't realize that's a common thing. That was a long visit. Did they overstay your welcome or were you hoping they start awhile?
I've got my feet elevated for the first time after getting up today and took a little snooze myself.

The cops are fierce with people who drive under the influence, even if they are not what you´d call drunk. I hadn´t seen them in over a year so we had a lot to talk about. There were subjects we had to leave for another time
