Last night, the Philippines versus Australia basketball teams brawl like a wrestler in the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers. 4 players from the Australia and 9 players from the Philippines was ejected. They ended up playing 5 players from Australia versus 3 players from the Philippines. Not a good sign for Philippines basketball. What do you think? See the link.
Things got out of control between Gilas Pilipinas and Australia as both teams figured in a free-for-all brawl. Check out more of Sports5! Website: https://tv...

Yeah they've continued it. And the other 2 players from our country choose to foul-out until only one player left and they've ruled it not to continue anymore. Australia win by a large margin.

I have seen the video and I don't really understand who is at fault. Fault of no fault then I believe that it's not the right thing to do. That's why we are into sports so we know what it means by the word. I would say that I am ashamed of what happened. Our youth our looking up to them they must be a good example and to think it is on TV. It is better we lose doing the right thing. We are there to play sports and not fight. I think we have to review what sportsmanship is.

@simplfred Thanks my friend. And I am hoping that there will be an action on this otherwise, we will be used to this kind of playing.

My son suddenly went into my room last night to show me a video of this rumble. He was really laughing so hard.

@simplfred Not really sad. I saw the video and I wouldn't say more who's at fault but definitely they saw how Filipinos can be when being mistreated.

It is a very one sided game. But it is better to lose with dignity than with this extra exhibition.

Really bad rep for both teams. Philippines didn't help themselves with their antics after the free-for-all.

I had mixed feelings about this, thought I was the only one sick to find it funny, but I later found out that there are a lot, and there is even a post here. That flying horse like kick on Romeo really made my day plus that tall Australian running away from that Pinoy who's only half his size The other half of me felt really sad and sorry why people go down to this level, maybe because basketball is a contact sport and sports is some kind of controlled aggression and dominance in itself, hope this incident never happens again, another tarnish to our image.

Very true, we make a history in basketball, but a bad history.

I guess the Australian thought it was okay to just taunt them and nothing bad would happen. Nothing new I feel sad for the Phil players. We did our best out there but it's either we get cheated or taunted upon.

Goulding was the mean bully, taunting the Filipino players when he didn't need to since they had a huge lead already. He lit the fire and so they burned.

Ha ha. Not good really for us Filipinos. Nonetheless, a publicity, good or bad, still a publicity. Finally, our country makes history in basketball. lol.
