I Just Can't, Babe

Last night, Eric asked me to remove his sutures on his neck. I was like "Uhm... why don't you call your nurse and let her do it?" Eric was like "Come on, babe! You are a nurse, you do this!" First and foremost, I am NOT a nurse. I am a nurse aide; nursing aide; nursing assistant, that is my description. Anywho, we tackle about the sutures. I tried, I did try. But... but... I just can't babe. For some reason, I cannot do my own people but it is so easy for me to do it with others. I don't know why? Not even an hour ago, his mom was here. She works in a hospital. Radiologist. She removed the suture. I am sorry, babe... I just cannot.

Precisely! It is not easy to touch their wounds or open wounds. Eeekkk

I'd be nervous doing that with loved ones also. You don't want to be responsible for any rips or tears of the wound or any infections that might occur if the sutures come out too early.

Exactly! OMG! Thank you. That guy cannot and do not want to give me a break. Thanks to his mom who was tough enough to do it. I really cannot.

@Deajae72 I also loved my husband´s mother. I did know when to step aside though. It was always the best idea for me

Haha... his mom is very sweet, though. I love her like she's my own mother.

A nurse aide can eventually be a nurse when the condition is right.

Fetch the tweezers. I'd be up for that.

No two people are alike and it isn't fair for someone to make such a request when they know the other person is uncomfortable doing that, I can remove sutures from my kritters or at least I did way back when but I couldn't remove my own, fear or something I suppose. I have no medical affiliation at all.

Doing something that is sensitive to you loves one is sometimes hard. It's good to ask for a Pro to do it, indeed.
