I can now happily say that I think that we have sold our house! We are sooo looking forward to getting away from the extreme cold and the new buyers live 1000 km north of us. I'm not kidding!!! What kind of winters have they had to endure?? We have an inspection early next week and I hope that it goes to plan. Actually, we moved two years ago this weekend, so I'm sure that all should be fine. I do hope that they will be happy here. Can you believe that they live that far north?? That just boggles my mind! This should feel tropical to them lol! Now, it's time to begin organizing for the packing to begin...

I wish you the best of luck. I just went through my own house selling in May in Riga, Latvia and northern Europe had frigid winters and even cool summers. I am now relocated in the tropic in Daytona Beach, Florida with my cat Sid. We had a long journey and are just getting used to things here. If you need even more warmth you can come to visit. Where are you going to move to

@RasmaSandra We lived just outside of Toronto before we moved to Chicago and before that we lived in a small town called Shelburne which was about an hour south of Barrie. Really a gorgeous town... well both of them!

@Hate2Iron In Ontario my favorite city is Toronto and one of my best friends lives close-by there in Barrie.

@Hate2Iron We have thought about moving, farther south. But, one state lower than us, the heat is terrible during the summer months!

Years ago, Canada was for me a huge white piece of land. I always asked myself how anyone could live there. Of course, chimneys and central heating would be needed. But it is better to live father south.

I always thought that southern Ontario was as cold as I could stand. I actually walked to the gate... about 5 minutes away in -35 c just to see how it felt. Once was enough ;)

The Eskimo would find your place far too hot, they could not stand the heat.
