A great Sunday

My husband is preaching at our church this month while our pastor is continuing his education. Dale (my husband) gave the message this morning about how God has blessed our country, but we don't always give Him the appreciation for it.
I sang a special, "If That's What it Takes" and gave the short children's message. We had a small crowd, but more than usual.
I was very proud of Dale...he's very down to earth and puts a lot of effort into preparing a sermon.
He's talked me into giving the message next Sunday and I guess I'm pretty much ready. I'll be making changes, though, up to the minute we leave for Church!
Dale just left to play golf with our son.
The day is much cooler, so we hope to have a fire out back and sit in the shack closer to dark...maybe cook a hot dog later.

You should be proud he can pass on the word of the Lord. Even though I cannot get to a church I have a book of short sermons written by the calendar days so each day I read one which Latvian pastors have written. Hope you have a good evening.

Sunday is my favorite day of the week. I remember how my family would gather to talk and have something to eat. Nothing really special but an ordinary Sunday with the family.
I miss my family back home. It is never the same again, though. When my mom passed away, I felt that there's a big hole in the family. It is never exciting anymore. My mom was the life of the party.

That means a lot to me, Andria. I don't feel like I'm called to be a preacher, but actually, every Christian is called to proclaim the Gospel, however we do it. I've always wanted to do my proclaiming by singing, but I really did like the last time I "preached" a message.
