Its a rainy day and my city is flooded / myLot

Its been raining here the whole weekend and rains have still not stopped. The whole city is flooded with water logged in many places. I have not gone to work today and am working from home. Does it rain like this at your place too?

We never had this much rain... until recently. It seems that floods will be a regular thing in the near future. And to think so many people deny the climate change... This thing gets me worried, where will this go? Will we get used to it? I don't know...

It does seem to be a regular thing now. With all the mud being removed and being replaced with concrete roads and concrete buildings there is no way for the water to be soaked.

@mayka123 yeah, that's one of the reasons. But even if it wasn't for the concrete, too much rain can't be absorbed quickly enough and that's when flash flood occur. I'm pretty sure this will become a regular thing soon.

@Kasjnak Flash floods were not so common a few decades ago. Its becoming a common occurance now with at least one flash flood if not more every monsoon.
