Good evening to us all from this side of the earth! I drove my son to the government office (National Bureau of Investigation) for his clearance. The issuance should be 1 day only but my son had to wait for a week because the officers wanted to make sure my son’s name is solo and alone and not having another person with the same name as his.
After that, i had my bath, and watched an afternoon television series. In relation to a discussion of @JustBhem regarding advertisements on television, I remember a commercial advertisement that looks funny until I get annoyed watching it now.
It is the advertisement of a Korean star who often visits our country and is a member of the now defunct Korean group 2ne1 (Sandara Park), and a foreign Asian star (Mario Maurer), about clean scalp (Head and Shoulders shampoo).
How Mario M. dances is so amusing. His body turns to the right while his face is looking to the left. Then the female star also keeps on winking.
The dialogue goes like this:” He already has everything---including dandruff?”
When i was handling my students last semester, I opened this up to them and they were also agreeing with me in unison. “Yes, Ma’am, Mario really looks funny”, they would say.
Dandruff happens especially during summer, and even during the cold season. Would you use an anti-dandruff shampoo if you have one? I remember Selsun Blue and Head and Shoulders.

oh yes, i remember, but gard i think came years after selsun blue. when i had dandruff during my college life, i used selsun blue but my sister told me to use just a small quantity of this. she said it is not giving much lather, but it worked. it did worked.

yes, but there are also home remedies like shampooing with the liquid extracted from the boiled guava leaves.

@cttolledo i believe so. the liquid extracted from concocting the guava leaves has the property for hair regrowth too. i have not yet tried that one though. but here is the link:
i think this is another way of using the guava leaves. i read somewhere that the concocted liquid can be used to rinse the hair and scalp as well.

@ridingbet There are better products here now, like Bioscalin. and Kérastase, they cost a lot more, but they are better.

head and shoulders are also sold here, and then some brands of shampoo like Palmolive, pantene, and dove have made their own anti-dandruff shampoos. actually, i bought 2 bottles of anti-dandruff shampoo for my son but he does not use it. i have no dandruff, i wonder if i will develop dandruff if i use an anti-dandruff shampoo?

@ridingbet It means I have the same name with someone who has a record (criminal/questionable) and NBI has to do some double checking. Maybe it's like that. hehe

@ridingbet Mario is just a matinee idol, not a dancer, so I don't wonder anymore.

selsun blue was ahead of head and shoulders i think. is selsun blue more costly than H&S?

along with using an anti-dandruff shampoo, i think we should also practice hygiene, combing of hair, proper scalp exercise like massaging, and as much as possible, keeping away from sunlight.

when we had our affiliation there in Baguio, most of us had dandruff. i guess this is due to the cold climate and us shampooing our hair at longer intervals because the water there was so cold?

Yeah, I am using Clear, I think it works for me. Though, when I can't buy clear and uses another brand seems my dandruff is coming back.

I used to have some, but after following a cleanse and moisturize routine, those dry flakes have long been gone.
