What Is Your Comfort Food?

My comfort food, ever since I had learned to cook, has been pizza pasta casserole. I can no longer fix such dish. The problem you ask?
Going on about 2 years ago, I was attempting a new recipe called Cauliflower Pizza. Grease fell from the pizza tray and started a fire. I nearly burned the kitchen up which would have basically burned the entire house.
So, I promised myself I would only use a crockpot and a microwave. I have kept such promise...so far.
I do make pizza soup in the crockpot, but pizza soup is simply not the same.
How about you?

I think my favorite comfort food is pizza:) I have to eat gluten free, which isn't quite as good. Also, latte& a doughnut.

I like the comfort of pork sinigang - it's sour soup w lots of vegetables.

I have never heard of... Is it on the order of vegetable soup?

@Spontaneo it's a filipino soup dish made of meat or seafood and some vegetables. The broth is made sour with tamarind.

My comfort food is homemade meatballs. I use the oven and stovetop to make them, the sauce, and the pasta that goes with them.
I remember you saying that you only use a crock pot and a microwave before. I could never do that. You shouldn't have to either. Just keep the oven clean and keep a fire extinguisher handy in the kitchen near where you cook. People all over the world use their stovetops and ovens every day and do just fine.
