Dreams are good friends

Vicky Leandros claimed fame to the heartwarming song "Dreams are good friends" which goes on to say "when you're lonely" and even though the lyrics are intended for lost lovers, the introduction to the song means more to me in other ways. I was sharing with Anna, after reading her lovely "old photos - A window on the past" post and felt quite nostalgic remembering my own parents and my window on the past. I don't have many photos of my own childhood days because after my mother passed my sister got all the photos, but I have tins, and tins of photos of my children growing up and I hope that they will enjoy venturing through them and reminiscing about their childhood and their past. We dont have to ponder on the past, but now and again a flashback to the Days of Old can warm the heart. I miss so many people and animals but most of all I miss the buzz of my grown-up children, when young, used to fill the house with laughter all the time. “The living owe it to those who no longer can speak to tell their story for them.” ~ Czeslaw Milosz
