If your a new joinee you should learn the guidelines so that you will not be suspended. And then just interact and the funds will keep coming.

It's a good idea to read the Community Guidelines first so that you understand what is and is not allowed here. It's often best to look at the Explore/Most Recent Discussions page and choose discussions in which you feel you might have something to say and respond to those first. That should give you some idea of how discussions, responses and comments work (a 'response' is when you reply to a discussion topic; a 'comment' is when you reply to a response or another comment). Once you begin to understand how things work, start your own discussions and, when people respond, try to keep them going, just as you might do with a conversation. The more that you interact with people here, the more likely it is that they'll want to interact with you. It's important to bear in mind that your earnings don't depend on how much YOU post but on how many responses, comments, likes and so on that you receive. Every post - discussion, response or comment - is eligible to earn but doesn't earn anything until others interact with it in some way. Really, it's best not to worry too much about how much you are earning but to enjoy taking part in the discussions. You'll find that reaching the magic $5 comes a lot easier that way!

This is a site for interacting with other people on different topics either through your own discussions or the discussions that others post. And as a reward for that you get the chance to earn a little money. But the key is that you have to be active. And you earn by other people's actions (responding/commenting to your discussions or your responses/comments) on anything you post here. Supposedly, when others "like" anything you post earns you as well. What you do here yourself earns you nothing.
