If you are a Boost Mobile prepaid cellular customer, chances are you were notified that they are going to start charging for 411 / information phone calls. The text message that I got way pretty vague but I don't use the 411 service on my phone. I would rather use my laptop so I can see which results are better than others. As it stands, the price increase to $2.00 per call goes in to effect 08/24/2018. The Boost Mobile 411 app was available at the Play Store and allowed you to make unlimited calls to directory assistance. They are also doing away with the Boost Zone app and replacing it with something more interactive and accurate. Even though Boost is owned by Sprint they maintain different customer service departments so I don't see the reasoning behind them (Boost) offering Sprint customer service and appointment planning through the app.

I thought everybody charged for 411 because it was outdated and useless.

What's even worse are the fees that some banks charge to talk to a customer service agebt instead of using their automated system.

@NJChicaa Wells Fargo charged $2.00 to talk to a person if you opted to skip the automated help menu

I know, I think that's why they are charging - so people won't use / abuse it.
