Poetry: Death comes to us announcing itself, only if we expect it to do so

There can only be one winner if we fight too hard against death

The depth of death is not its realer blessing, if we breathe our last breath, still obsessing. We need to address death in life, by not pressing, before we die to life in death, not second-guessing. Death sits on the other side of love, while life sits alive on the other. The thread of love allows for both you see, because love's thread threads God to me, and thee. Death met up with life in a fight to the death. Who could ever win such a fight, but death? Death wins every fight with life as it must, but when you do not fight death, death doesn't fight you. Life and death are not one, it's all life in life's life. The goal posts of death, stretched far apart by love, spring back together, and crush you, if you die to life. Who am I that doesn't die in death? Unvanished love, given! Photo Credit: The photo used here was freely sourced from the free media site: pixabay.com.
