I bathed the 2 Japanese Spitz this morning. Xander and Macy each weighed heavy for me to carry them. I bathed Macy first. She loves the water in the basin that she was immobile while I was applying the dog shampoo on her. She looked at me like saying, “thanks for the bath”. She and her brother Xander have expressive pairs of eyes. But Macy’s fur is not as white as Xander’s because Macy likes to lie down under the car. Right now, all the dogs are inside the house for their afternoon nap.
This morning at 9AM, after I bathed Macy and my sister groomed her, Macy went inside and lied down in her chair. Xander too (he was still when he had his bath).
Then, they slept. They slept like babies. The picture of Macy shows she is sleeping on her chair. Xander was in his favorite nook and this is at the side door near our display cabinet.
Both of them, and even our other dogs, take naps after their bath, possibly because they are refreshed and felt good.

Here is Xander this morning after his bath. He shook his body first, then went to his nook and slept.
All of them are enjoying the rain as it sings them a lullaby.

@ridingbet happens to us humans as well.
I guess a nice bath induces everyone to sleep.

@allen0187 yes, i agree. it may be because our bodies are freshened up. but i don't lie down in bed when my hair is still wet or moist. i might have headache when i wake up.

yes, and ever since my son is working everyday, i bathe 2 or 3 at a time, every 2 weeks interval. i was advised to bathe the dogs not frequently (every week) because the natural oil of their fur might be compromised.

@amitkokiladitya some mylotters gave their pieces of advice and suggestions about not frequently bathing the dogs every week, that is why now, we bathe them every 2 weeks.

Your dogs felt so comfortable after they bathed! Just like humans who feel good and refreshed after a bath or shower.
