I just read this news article, if that is what you want to call it. I like to read Yahoo News, mostly for the entertainment of if. So of the articles are so stupid and badly written that they are entertaining to read. This one is no different.
The link to is was titled "Feminist leader compared to Joan of Arc found dead". The photo was of this fairly young female that I had never seen before so I had to check it out. I mean compared to Joan of Arc, I need to know about her, maybe someone burned her at the stake?
It was written by Sabrina Rojas Weiss, I'm not sure who she is either but apparently she holds Oksana Shachko in high regard. Yes, Oksana was the feminist leader and the one who someone compares to Joan of Arc.
Inna Shevchenko said, “Oksana Shachko: one of the most remarkable women of our time. One of the greatest fighters against the unjust world. Who fought hard against injustices of society, who fought hard for not only herself but for all women around the world.”
Shachko’s mother said in the 2014 documentary I Am Femen. “She’s a real revolutionary, an incredibly strong girl.”
I was reading it and all the praise she was getting in this article and thinking well good for her. You need to stand up for what you believe in and never back down. Fight for those who can't fight for themselves.
Then I see how she died and I was like wow....on her third attempt at suicide in the last two years she was successful. First, I'm thinking well no matter who she was or what she did or didn't do, that is sad. I feel for those who were closest to her. Then I'm thinking wow, for someone so strong, I guess she really was not that strong. For those who apparently idolized her, where were they? Who the heck is comparing her to Joan of Arc?
Joan of Arc fought to the very end, never giving up until she was burned at the stake. Am I wrong for thinking that comparison is a bit much? I mean I never even heard of this person before or her group (Femen).

She was no man hater that's for sure. She proved to every one that even a woman can be chosen by GOD to defeat it's enemies.
