What do you prefer for writing a pen or a pencil?

I have bought like five or six pens during the last few months, one pen for every month. I like to use pens for writing. I prefer pens over pencils, as pen´s writing is more easy to read and to carry. My new pen is a ponit ball pen that has a small lamp iuntegrated into it. So, I use this pen for writing and for lightning at night. The bad thing is that I often loose my pens, so I could be buying another soon. What do you prefer for writing a pen or a pencil?

I always write on paper. Using a pen makes the writing last longer on paper

@nela13 A pencil is good for marking details on sheet of paper. I use them like that too

@quantum2020 yeah, that is true. When I am reading a book I like to take notes and underline what I like, that is why I use a pencil.

The same here. I prefer a pen but if there is the need for using a pencil, then I write with a pencil

I like to write with a pen but if I find a pencil first that's what I will use.

I always do the same. If a pen is not at hand, then I use a pencil, which I always have in the drawer

Depends on what I am writing. If it is drafts or rough notes then I prefer pencil otherwise it's pen. If you tend to lose pens then its better to keep separate ones for separate activities. Like, if you have a study table or place where you write then keep one there and don't take it elsewhere, To carry around you can keep a separate one and also you can keep one in your travel or carry bag. My frequency of use of pen or pencil is very less now as due to taking notes either on my phone or computer. How often do you use pen or pencil?

I use a pen daily. It´s what I use more to write. I have a few spare pens, just in case I loose one.

@quantum2020 when it comes to my regular technical calculations over rough papers I use disposable pens which I get in packs and if it involves repeated trial and error method then I look for pencil. And for writing special notes or messages I prefer better pens, mostly the expensive ones.

I also prefer to write with a pen. Pencils are good but one gets the hands dirtier when leafing through a notebook

I like to use a pen. It lasts longer and is easier to see. Pencil writing fades and is hard to read.

That´s what I think. Pens are easier to read at and pencil writing tends to get blurred on the paper

I also prefer pens. Their ink gets dry soon and don´t leave ink stains on the hands

I also prefer a pen to write. I can use a pen if there is no pen available; fortunately, I got a pen yesterday
