Getting an 8 x 10 rug tomorrow

My mother's best friend texted me today to see if I wanted an 8 x 10 area rug for free. I said "sure!" sight unseen. That's how we get most of the stuff that we have in our house. I'm just not that picky about it. We had to get rid of the rug and then the couch in the front room a few years ago because my old lady cat kept peeing on them and they smelled. We've never gotten around to replacing them, so the front room is pretty bare. It isn't a big deal because neither of us really spends time in there. Because I'm not "house proud", it doesn't freak me out and I don't have this burning need to rush out and buy new stuff. We wound up with an automatic "lifting" recliner for in there for my husband's hip replacement surgery. That was amazing but we will be sending that to the owner of our usual hangout as he is having his hip done next month. We will need to get a couch soon. Still, this is how we usually get things. . . someone texts and offers us something and I'm just like "sure". The rug looks like it is neutral in color so it should match well with our newly-painted gray walls. If not, oh well. It is free.
