I entered this elevator and found this. Can you spot what's wrong with these buttons? It's not difficult to spot it!

That's right. When the elevator was serviced or repaired they put in the open button on both places. It was very subtle, but confusing if you wanted to keep the door open and didn't know which was the right button!

First I noticed -1 Then there is no close button

The -1 is a common way of denoting the basement of a building. The close button missing is the error here. You're right.

That would certainly confuse me. I've never entered a building that had a floor "0". Nor have I seen the basement button on an elevator labelled "-1".

I've seen this in a lot of elevators. Some label the ground floor as G instead of 0.
