Time away from myLot

I woke early at my usual wake time 5 AM. Since it is Sunday, I had no morning rush. I utilized the quite morning time to work on two articles for my school magazine. I had an itch to check myLot but I controlled it hard. Then I went for a walk, came back, did laundry and cleaned up the house, made breakfast and got ready. All this time I had to fight my urge to myLot. Today I decided to stay away from myLot and sat down to work on my art project for my upcoming library. I sat down to finish a piece of it as shown in the picture. I am planning to make a collage with colourful paper and designs in background and paper quilled craft on top. I am happy with the good start. But I must say it was hard to control my itch to myLot all this time.
Am I getting addicted to myLot??
I am happy that I could stay away from myLot and do this.
How are things at your end?

I love being here. It can be addictive. So I am trying to set a discipline and time limit to it.

It's my hobby. My house is adored by art made by me and my elder daughter. I also sell some of them and share half the price to NGO that I voluntarily work for.
I am exercising my self control. I will not give it to mylot till I finish my other offline work.

i believe i have the self-control to stay away from this site. especially when i have paperwork to do, like checking the requirements of my students, i do prioritize my activities and mylotting takes the back seat.

@arunima25 we have offline work, so mylotting should be a spare time of relaxation from work for us. i wonder though, maybe some users like those from bubblews who resigned from their offline jobs to be permanently 'employed' here. maybe if i can reach $50 a month, i might resign from my work as well.

It is good to have self control. I too have it and that's why I did not check mylot till I was done with my offline work.

@Hannihar It is not like that. I can't afford to do so with so much to do offline. I can't compromise on my rest. Maybe I am just a few months old here and got a hang of it now. So I get that excitement to check it every now and then.

You should pursue your hobbies on priorities and you should balance in such a way so as to able to find time for mylotting. Balancing act will help you. You seem to be addicted to mylot.

I haven't been around much for a while, and I do miss myLot. However, life is meant to be lived and enjoyed. I only come here when I can spend some time after all else is done.
I love your design!!!! It would also make a lovely fabric for a chair.

@arunima25 I'm done decorating for the moment. I meant that your photo would make a beautiful fabric covering for a chair. Right now, we are helping our son pay for furniture for his new home. Our gift. I know that when we return to Florida, we want to redecorate our living room and guest bedroom.
