Dixie and Humberto invited me to Algarrobo, a beach a small town near Santiago that has a big marina. There they have their boat that is being repaired.
First we went to see the boat and Humberto talked with the worker. Then we went to fetch one of Humberto´s cousins and they invited us for lunch.
The restaurant was delicious. I had roast pork ribs and we slip a side of French fries and one of assorted veggies between Dixie and I.
On our way back we bought some traditional Chilean sweets.
I am happy but tired. What have you been doing?

I have always lived away from the sea. But I go enough times as the sea is about 2 or 3 hours from my house.

@marguicha We lived 30 years near the sea. From our apartment in Monte-Carlo, it was 10 minutes walk to the beach.

@crossbones27 From what I can see, now my country is as free yours if not more. I feel that our voting system is better than yours because it enables us to have the President that wins by the majority of the votes. There´s no more corruption here than in any other so called first world country. I think that many people are misinformed and think that all countries in South America are identical. I have visited the US several times and have seen very civilized places and others that are almost like the far west of the movies. The US I have seen is a continent with many different cultures depending on where you are.
Mexico is very different from Chile. I have also visited (and love) Mexico and in a different way it has as many problems as the US.

@marguicha Hmm, interesting. I always heard kind of like Mexico, just more of a dictatorship at one time. Granted Mexico considered it self free now, but so corrupt many are saying is that really true freedom? Kind of the way I thought many South American countries were. Then saw so many commenting on punk songs and not trolls either. Just they love and please come to our country because you are changing things. More or less like that and next thing I know reading articles how Brazil is becoming one of the more free countries in the world. Still have a corruption problem but doing many things even the US is not doing to be even more free.

Sounds neat, I always wanted to visit down there. it to me is amazing at how far you guys have come in the freedom department. I know this because if a cool punk rock song makes it way to youtube. There is someone from Chile, Brazil, or Peru to say hell yeah. It to me is about as neat as it gets.

@crossbones27 I thought that most people everywhere did something else on weekends. I usually get together with friends or family. I hadn´t thought about that as freedom, but maybe it is

There is always happiness and fatigue on the journey. I love the beach. I also like steak.

The air at the seashore is very different from this city air. It smells clean.

You had a good outing. We went to buy a few things yesterday and then helped the kids prepare for their tests. Have a nice week ahead.

@marguicha you are welcome. Yesterday I went to a shoe store of a Czech based company called Bata where it was written that they also have an outlet in Santiago.

@marguicha oh great to know. I have had sleepers, sports shoes as well as leather shoes in the past from Bata.
In fact till 5 to 6 years back, I believed that Bata was an Indian company but later found that it is
a Czech company.
