sheSLIPPED!

that is the soil where my sister slipped

Didn’t I make discussions about my sister and her attitude? This afternoon while I was watching the DVD of Aliens, she called out my name. (She was watering the plants after she repaired the water hose. It did not rain again and the soil was getting very dry.) “Ingrid, Ingrid, come over”, was what she shouted. I immediately paused the DVD and went out. There she was, slumped down to the ground, holding the hose. I asked her, “What happened?” I slipped, she said. Then I noticed the mark where she slipped. SHE STEPPED ON A WET SOIL. I told her, “that is why you slipped because you stepped on that wet soil. There is a dry land here, you should have walked on this land, and continued with your activity of watering the plants”. She uttered, “Lord, I am nearing death”. I laughed silently and told her, “Why do you say that? It was your fault that is why you slipped”. Then she said she has no broken bones.

She does the heavy work at home because she says she can do it. I always tell her to be careful in anything she does at home.

I am always careful when I go out to water the garden, it's easy to put a foot on wet soil. I hope it's nothing serious.

@ridingbet I always wear shoes when I go in the garden, if you wear flip flops you can be sure that sooner of later an accident happens.

@LadyDuck my sister wears her flip-flops, that may be the reason why she slipped.

I'm afraid it will happen to me because once it happens for sure my bones will get broken. One of the things we need to be careful about.

We should be with somebody when we leave home or even inside the house. I have cerebellar infarct so my movement and balance is compromised. When I have unsteady gait, I hold on to something

@JustBhem but i think my sister should be humble enough to admit that she is not getting any younger anymore.

@YrNemo she knows that, that is why she is confident that i can help her, even answer her questions, but she really sometimes disagrees with my opinions, that is why i keep quiet about her health complaints.

You have a strange relationship with your sister, I would have thought that the first thing to do would be to help her get up and make sure she was okay but that's just me.

@BelleStarr i have known my sister since i was born. i now understand her attitude because she is reaching 70 years now; besides, her daughters are not here with her so she is sometimes dependent on me.

Instead of rebuking her for slipping on the mud, why didn't you help her up?

I helped her get up. I could not just let her stay down and be uncomfortable with her position down to the ground. You know adrenaline rush. She is bigger than me but I pulled her up. Of course while I was helping her up I was talking to her.

Glad she's fine. I always slipped when I was in my home town. Our street there going to school was not cemented and if there's a rain , the soil is wet and it's dangerous.
