Before the being of summer my lovely daughter that is 7 a raising 2nd Grader was being testing to see if she had any learning disabilities. Now that all the information has been father and we have had her Eligibility meeting we all agreed with the results and the struggle she had this last year keeping up with her peers that it would be best for her to get assistance. We haven’t had her iep meeting yet so what she will get will be determined at that meeting. The over all ruling was she has dyslexia and memory loss. Dyslexia is very common for lots people in the world. Memory will be weak and need to help find way to to keep new information when learned to be stored. Other then practices.

It's a good thing that you had her tested. In this county some people refuse to do that because they don't want to recognise that something is wrong with their children. So their children suffer by getting bullied in school and labelled as stupid when in fact they are suffering from a disability and if given a chance to be corrected, they could be at their best.

In the US people get there kids tested all of the time. I was tested in first grade and had special education all the way through college. I of course don’t want her to struggle so I know it’s important so she doesn’t fall more behind.

@ShyBear88 I didn't know that kids get tested there at all. It's the same all over the US or is it just in some state?

@toniganzon it’s in all of the states in the US. There is even a education law where it states no child gets left behind. Meaning all children school age have the right to attend school for free and all services for there education should be provided for them with any help if they are redeemed by there individual states as having a disability. Parents also have to send their children to school or we get arrested. As long as she goes to school her school has to provider with any accommodations she my require due to her testing. If we did have her tested we would have to find like a tutor or something to help her and they might not be fit to help a child with special needs.

Your little one certainly is a cutie pie. I'm sure she'll have success with whatever assistance they give her.

I hope so! It’s not easy her mommy has been in the same boat her whole life.
