Wishing for A Good Month

It is August, a month which some superstitious people do not like when they are starting a business.
I do not know why they consider this month not a good month, when in fact, any action done daily whether it is August or not, can affect everything in the future. Sort of like a domino effect. If you do good today, you will harvest goodness; if sow bad things, you will reap it.
I wish this month will be a good and happy month for all of us!

I had not heard of this superstition.I would have thought that August might be a bad month to start if you are selling some sort of out-of-season goods but that's to do with markets, not superstition.

I'm planning to go all in in my online teaching this month. Not really a superstitious person.

Good luck on your new endeavor! The time of the year does not matter although online teaching is timely because classes start in August or September.

August to September is considered ghost month. But it' not the whole month of August. It will start on the 11th.

@acelawrites Exactly, the stores are half empty during the month of August.

Maybe that's one of the reasons; there will be less customers.

@acelawrites The ghost month doesn't only fall in the month of August. It can be any months depending on the Chinese calendar.

I wonder when did we start this business and it's been years since it's been built. But I won't bank on the superstitions

Yes, I do not believe in it too; sometimes it might be just a coincidence.
