Real? Or fake? A horse plays bass in a rock 'n roll band! (video attached)

Answer: Making $150 and a bunch of free drinks. I'm attaching a YouTube video of a friend's band that I'm in. Disclaimer: I am only responsible for the quality of bass playing--nothing else. What's good about this band? We play loud. People clap. People dance (after a few drinks). What's bad about this band? The lead singer isn't always in key. The lead singer should let the lead guitarist take most of the leads. We take too long between songs, messing with equipment and such like. Why do I do it? Because I love playing bass, I enjoy the money and drinks, and because people pay more attention to us than they do to the more "nuanced" bands I'm in. Listen as long as you can stand it and let me know what you think. Of course, leave a like if you can and say something to make the lead singer feel good. But for goodness sake, don't quote me!
Electric Delta Deuce at the Clayton Club Saloon. July 27, 2018. Opening song is "No More".

I would do it for free drinks too, the problem is I don't play any musical instrument and I couldn't even carry a tune. But it has always been a dream of mine to play in a band.

It's fun, but you have to deal with a lot of weird stuff, like egos that are bigger than the talent they're attached to.

Well, that is not so bad. I always think as long as the company is fun, the dancing works and the music is loud anything goes.

I'd have to agree with you. If people are dancing and having a good time, I'm OK with it.

I'd be part of a not-so-good band for $150 and free drinks as well.

@TheHorse -- no, I think it's more intriguing to see a headline touting a horse playing bass.

Heh. I thought of going with my standard headline.Should I go with it for a few minutes and see if I capture some Newbies?

Yep. It can become "just a job." I don't necessarily like that feeling.

That's pretty funny. I gather B.F. Skinner (a psychologist) trained pigeons to play ping pong.
