going to the waterpark today

Summer is coming to a close. Our local waterpark is only open during the week for a few more days, and then it will switch to weekends only until Labor Day, and then it will be closed for the season. Since weekends tend to be really packed there, we're trying to get at least one last waterpark trip in today. The suits have all been gathered, although I need to track down towels for everyone. I just finished baking some chicken nuggets, which are cooling and then getting packing in containers and put in the bottom of the diaper bag (yes, I smuggle food in the water park... we're not supposed to, but I can't afford to buy meals for everyone in there. We do buy a few orders of fries to share with each other as we eat our chicken nuggets, because $15 for a few orders of fries is still cheaper than $12.99 meals for everyone). I also need to find the sunscreen and wet bags, which I know are still together after our beach trip last week. We went through all of our spray sunscreen this year, but we still have some tubes left (plus I'm pretty sure there's a sunscreen stick in the diaper bag). I'll have the oldest boy put the folding chairs in the back of the van in a bit. It occurs to me that I need to have something easy for dinner tonight since we'll all be worn out when we get home. I think I have everything I need for making tacos, so I'll pull out some ground beef and stick it in the fridge before we go (although I have cooked chicken left from last night, so maybe we'll just do chicken tacos). I'll be around here for another 10 minutes or so, and then I've gotta get moving!
