Our apartment has 9 floors and a few months ago I was shocked when the lift showed 15 as the display. It looked eerie and felt like it eas part of a science fiction or horror movie. Going the 15th floor on the 9 storeyed building would certainly be creepy. I later found that rains had caused a lift malfunction and the display was all awry.

That would indeed be a bit creepy. I'd be using the stairs perhaps but maybe not if I lived 9 floors up.

It would be scarier if the display read 13.

A machine can always malfunction. Hope it has been fixed now.
