Originally I will share a GIF but it doesn't work so I decided to share a Youtube video instead. I decided to share this video just for you guys. This is something I see on a daily basis an an employee of a meat factory. The freshest meat there is when the meat is still pulsing and twitching! Yup meat is still moving 30 minute after the animal is killed. The muscles of the meat is pulsing like a beating heart hours after the animal is killed. The Animal is dead but there is still some circulation going on. So the ones in the groceries are not really fresh because real fresh meat still moves. It seemed like Mylot doesnt allow gifs, anymore so I will share this video instead.
Fresh cut beef twitching.

You should know that fresh meat is not good to eat, it must rest in a refrigerator at a precise temperature for a certain time.

That is why it is sold as frozen.

@LadyDuck The animals I killed though, ends up in a giant freezer. It stayed there for 24 hours before making it to the market. The shanks of animals sometimes is still kicking.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Frozen is another matter, I am not talking about frozen meat. One of my uncle is a butcher, I get good meat from him.

Ahhhhh, I don't think I can watch it ! That being said, I think that happens to fish too as I've seen videos of people eating the freshest sashimi/sushi!

@much2say Also remember the fried living fish. They fry the body but keep the head alive.

That’s an interesting trivia you have here. I guess I will never encounter this since I think this can only be seen in slaughter houses. Once it goes to the grocery they are either frozen or the twitching has already subsided.

If you touch them, they are also warm and they are vibrating. It creeped me out at first but I got used to it eventually.

I suppose there is a time up to which sanitary people call it fresh enough to eat. If we could only eat the meat that is as fresh as you say, we would all have to live within the surroundings of the slaughter house.

I think people will be grossed to to see real fresh meat because the real fresh meat are still moving.

so if the freshest meat is the one that's still pulsing and twitching, then it should be quickly seasoned and thrown into the grill?

Most likely it will stop twitching the moment it met the fire. Meat this fresh tends to be sweeter.

I do not like to look at such videos but I still enjoy having some meat now and then as long as it does not grunt or squeal when I put it on the pan or in the oven

So a vibrating meat will be to creepy for you to see? Suddenly I remember, Lobsters, crabs, clams and snails are always cooked alive. People should put them to sleep first by covering them in ice so they won't feel pain.
