It smelt good but it burnt my scalp.

I can't recall the exact scent, but it was something with honey and an alcohol. Bourbon? Whiskey? One of the two.
The first time I used it, it was wonderful. I loved the smell, and it didn't irritate my scalp. It made my hair feel soft and fresh. I had used other scents from this seller in the past, and had no problems.
The alcohol flavor is what burnt my scalp, I'm sure of it. I had to quit using it, but I did eventually dilute it a bit and use it on my skin. No irritation there.
I haven't bought from the seller since, not because of that one incident, but because the size she offers doesn't fit the price I want to pay.

@rakski It didn't do it the first few times. It wasn't until maybe the fourth time that it started to burn my scalp. I stopped using it and eventually used it on my skin. It didn't do anything there, and so I finished it as a body wash.
I had bought from that seller before, but not that exact type of shampoo.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I've seen some things at Bath & Body Works when all I could do is shake my head and wonder who wants to smell like that.

Honey is very good for your hair. So is rosemary and peppermint. You would be wise to make your own.

I've seen a recipe on wellnessmama I might try to copy. It uses coconut milk. I've seen other recipes for shampoo's but they involve using preservatives. I'd rather use ingredients that have a higher shelf life, and also just make smaller batches at a a time.
Vitamin E Oil is good for your skin, and it's also a preservative.
I know you can buy raw honey online, and that would be the best option for me.
