every country has its staple food. a day won't pass without it on everyone's table. In our country, rice completes our meal. it may sound ridiculous, but we eat it twice a day and we never get tired of eating it. lol! do you still feel the same with your staple food?

Will be interesting to see if any other UK people come up with our staple food as I don't think we have one these days.
We have such a variety of foods from around the world.
In the past I'd say it may have been potatoes but now I don't think people eat potatoes every day.

i thought potato or bread or even pasta would be the equivalent of rice.

Here in our country of Canada, our staple is always changing.
It changes constantly because the demographics of who is living here-immigrants, changes constantly.
For me and my family our staple is beef and chicken. One or the other is eaten daily.

is the flatbread vs rice a north/south thing or east/west thing?
