I've been Cooking

Today I dragged out my hot air cooker and baked a large package of chicken in it. I just packaged them up in meal size freezer bags and now I have meals for a week. I can eat as is or use in other dishes, maybe with rice or potatoes, chicken salad sandwiches or whatever. The kitchen is hot and I am sweaty but I just turned on the AC and ready to do myLotting today. What is your favorite thing to cook? Apparently the chicken in my photo flew away. I resized it, but it is not working.

What do you mean by " loaded mashed potatoes?"

I love cooking chicken, sounds like the air fryer is what I need.

@popciclecold They are not expensive. I think I got mine in Walmart for around $30. It is too big but I don't know if they come in smaller sizes.

It is an air cooker, I think. It makes the grease drip to the bottom and makes the chicken crispy and oh so good. It does wonders for burgers also.

My favorite thing used to be Pork Steaks. Not it is either Potato Salad or Chili Casserole, as both of these are a lot easier for me and don't require a lot of standing

Yes, when you try to do things when you are older, the body says what were you thinking?

I love having a few meals in the freezer and not having to cook every day - not I cook much any more. Mostly Vince does our cooking.

All of the chicken is in the freezer except for one serving in the fridge. Cooking all at once and dividing into meals is the way to go. Vince sounds like a keeper!

@akalinus He is very much a keeper as I'm not at all keen on cooking.

@JohnRoberts That is a life skill. They should teach it to kids in school.

Traditional Filipino food, pasta, etc. But I must admit that I am not a pro when it comes to cooking.

I bet you make some things really well. You don't need to be a pro to fill your hungry place.

Does the air fryer make the house hot?

Yes, It does but I won't need to turn it on again for a good long time. I use the instant pot for a lot of things. That does not add much heat to the room.

I don't use that oven a lot but it is great for burgers, chicken, any meat. All the grease drips to the bottom.
