The Colors of flavour - what if you had a blue coloured strawberry ice cream?

Whether you have ice cream or milkshake or flavoured yoghurt or even fruit juice the color always matches the flavour. I wonder why. It's all artificial flavour. Strawberry ice cream is pink, butterscotch is yellowish cream, chocolate is brown, pistachio is green, blackcurrant is purple and so on. Will our taste buds eget tricked or savour the flavour less if the color didn't match the flavour. What if we had pink chocolate icecream or white strawberry milkshake or green mango juice? Will it taste worse or feel unreal?

This is an interesting question. Sometimes I'm put off an ice-cream flavour because of the colour, particularly if the colour is too intense.

Too much of color makes it look artificial.

Sometimes I like vanilla flavour just for the fact that it is white and looks natural.

Unfortunately most of these Colors are achieved by using artificial coloring agents in ice creams and juices
