I hope this could end the Whitewashing problem Hollywood have.

I always had issue with White washing, It is when Hollywood loves casting white actors for Asian and Black roles and their excuse, People of color don't draw. Sometimes they even white wash real existing people. The movie Stuck is the true to life story of Chante Jawan Mallardin, A black woman. When her life was turned into movie, A white woman played her. They make Mena Suvari have dreadlocks to make her look black. Hollywood producers does Whitewashing because they think non white people don't draw.
Well Black Panther is a hit.
Crazy rich Asians is hit.
American audience is not as racist as Hollywood think it was. I hope this means characters of color will finally be adapted accordingly on screen. No more Scarlet Johansson playing Japanese and Ben Afflect playing Latino.

Old habits die hard with them. Look at the two actors best-remembered for playing Charlie Chan: A Swede (Warner Oland) and an American (Sidney Toler). Yet they'll "preach" to us about racism and the lot.

the funny thing is Hollywood keep claiming they are all about diversity and they are not racist but they still have this belief POC's can't draw despite of having POC's stars who are proven draws.

@LadyDuck if you to think about it, New York and New Jersey have a huge Italian community. Some of them even have the accents intact. Hollywood also have issues with women. They pay actresses less, even if they are a big draw.

@CaptAlbertWhisker In this case I would say they are also discriminating white actors that are not American. Why not to use Italian actors to play Italian characters? At least they would pronounce the Italian words correctly and not the horrors that I hear in Mafia movies.
