I have been watching Gary Cooper movies lately. Many or rewatchs. In case you don't know about him he was an actor and popular in movies from 1926 until 1961. I adored him in more than one of his 60-70 movies where he always played a rather unassuming and humble man. I might like his performances so much too because he reminded me a lot of my day who was rather shy and retiring.
Some of my favorite movies of his are:
The Plainsman(1936) with Jean Arthur,
The Cowboy and the Lady(1938) with Merle Oberon,
Beau Geste(1938), Susan Hayward
Sergeant York(1941), With Joan Leslie
Ball of Fire(1941) with Barbara Stanwick ,
Along Came Jones(1945) with Loretta Young,
Saratoga Trunk(1945)with Ingread Bergman,
Bright Leaf(1950) with Lauren Bacall
Friendly Persuasion(1956) with Dorothy McGuire.

I have seen all of those. There are also Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, The Virginian, Meet John Doe, The Pride of the Yankees, High Noon and The Westerner.
