Military men and women are coming home and, not only have PTSD issues but also concussions from IUD explosions and such. From 2001 to present day they think there have been at least 371,000 concussions. This can cause mood disorders and all manner of health issues.
I think that a lot of these soldiers are doing too many tours and I would think that this would affect them after a while too.

This has been happening forever, there are stories of the soldiers from the Civil War and the troubles they had when they returned. Soldiering is a dangerous job but at least today we are aware that there are more injuries than just those you can see.

One of the downsides of having an all-volunteer force is that the same relatively small group of people do all the fighting and take all the risks while far too many of the rest of the country takes the protection they provide for granted or are even in denial about the need to be protected. This makes them hostile to spending the money to provide the needed care these military folks have earned and deserve.

There has never been more information now than ever before about PTSD. I have read heartbreaking stories of Vietnam war vets coming home, and no one knew why they had so many mental problems. They didn't understand even if they never had a head injury their mental health was forever changed. No one ever gave them what they needed.
I remember one story about a returning soldier with no injuries, but once home he couldn't take confrontation. Even with his wife, when they would argue, he'd have to leave the house. He couldn't even make eye contact.

There should be a protocol in place for them when they come home where they get some counselor. War is hell.

Most of the people I know that have came back are different, not just from explosions but from what they seen.
