This Saturday, I am just glad because the sun is up and sharing its rays of sunlight on us. It is the laundry day and I expect our clothes will dry up under the sun.
Rinsing our clothes with fabric conditioner is better, but the smell of the sun on our clothes is also good.
I hope it won’t rain. The clothes that are dried under the sun, then it rains, and the drying continues inside the house, and then ironed even if it is damp, will create a different scent. That is why when it drizzles, Miss J our laundry woman comes rushing and collects the clothes, and hang them in the garage.
Saturday is laundry day. Is it also your laundry day?

when the laundry woman cannot come, we use the washing machine. but when she is here, she uses the dryer so the clothes will dry quicker.

@ilocosboy that is a decent work. i applaud women who do the laundering of others' dirty clothes. but does your mother do that? washing others' dirty clothes?

@ridingbet When I go to work, I usually wash my clothes at night. When I don't go to work on vacation, I usually wash my clothes in the afternoon.

@caopaopao some of my students have just one pair of uniform so after their duty with me, they immediately wash their uniforms for the next duty day

if not for our uniforms, we also would not like our clothes to be ironed.

that was the reason why we shifted the 'lavandera' day from Tuesday to Saturday. at least, all uniforms are washed on a weekend

for me and my son, we have 2 blue hampers; one for coloreds, the other for whites and light colored shirts. we usually have our clothes laundered every Saturday; previously it was every Tuesday.
