Sweet Cheese?

Recently believed to be 3,200 year old cheese was found in a Egyptian tomb of Ptahmes who was a high ranking Egyptian official of the 13th century. This solidified whitish mass is thought by scientists to be very acidy, probably made from goat's and sheep's milk and would spoil quickly. Anyone want to try some?

I would not try it as there is probably some deadly curse on it.

Nope. I'll stick with my Harvanti and cheddar.

Hmmm, the pot on the photo looks like a cheese strainer, so it was an offering of fresh cheese, it is a bit too late to enjoy it now. I do not know if it would be possible to really tell if it was goat or sheep cheese. Despite they look very different, they are from the same family of animals, and most of the time paleontologists cannot tell if it was a goat or a sheep when only a few bones are found. Very interesting link, thank you for it !
