They are not family

There is a copy of a picture that has been sent to us. It was found in the bible that belonged to a great great something or another. I believe it may have belonged to my great great grandfather, but I can't rightly remember and so I'll just leave it at "great great something or another."
The photo is of a family after a hard day's work. The picture is unclear, but there appears to be a grain sack at the foot of the patriarch, one young daughter at one side, his wife at another. There are younger children in the photo as well, and each look quite tired after attending to their different chores.
There is no explanation as to who these people are, or when or why the picture is taken. One person surmises that this photo is of people of no kin to us. I disagree.
Why would the photo be in a family bible if it had no significance to the bible's owner? Perhaps it is of a distant cousin, some great great grandmother's brother and his family.
We do not know and there is no real way of knowing. These people are probably long dead now, or if not, have long forgotten the photo.
As it is, the photo traveled some 120 miles and atleast as many years (take a few) before it reached us.

@ScribbledAdNauseum The family of my mother lived 3 hours from where we lived, we did not meet often.

@LadyDuck Oh I see, yes that would be quite a trek. My family, both ancestral and more recent, hail(ed) from places atleast an hour, if not more, away from here.

They could be family members. You probably will never know.
