QUESTIONmark

The question mark is one of the most used punctuation mark and when we silently read a sentence ending with a question mark, we also tend to raise our 'silent voice' like asking the question. Do you do that?
In such case, when I read a comment with too many question marks, I tend to ask why, but when the comment is a 'thank you ' with the many question marks, I should therefore say the writer is just so fond of putting that mark.
May I ask what your views are, my fellow users of this site ?

yes that is quite possible. maybe too, the user is young, or a millennial, and the user is making her own mark in MyLot history.

@ridingbet I asked her why she places the question marks after the "Thank You", she did not dare to reply.

@LadyDuck i think she may be scared of you because you are a user of substance.

that is also my question why too many question marks after a 'thank you' response. maybe the user is so into this punctuation mark.

@ridingbet I have no idea, it seems a strange thing to do.

@ridingbet it maybe like that. It should not put question mark in those words.

i don't know why the question mark follows the thank you. could it be to gain attention from others?

yes, i do that too sometimes, but flooding the 'thank you' with question marks, i think the user is a millennial? hahaha!

i think it is this mark where we put our 'emotions' into silently reading it. if i stress a point, i would sometimes put the letters in big and bold prints, but i am not shouting in words though.

@ridingbet That's a good way to distinguish it.

yes, it is usually in one's own perception as to how many punctuation marks should be put at the end of a statement. but there is a policy in this site that excessive use of punctuation marks should be avoided, to wit:
(from Mylot community guidelines):
Using all-caps, excessive punctuation, or "text speak"

I see comment 'thank you ' with the many question marks, I don't know why. I think that's strange.

me too, i think it is strange. but maybe the user has her own reasons behind that.

i wonder if they're using a phone? it seems that when they use the emoticons on their phone, instead of the mylot code, it's not recognized here and turns them into question marks. it seems to be the same way also when a new user posts in a different language that uses different characters, say, japanese. they also turn into question marks. just my guesses.

i have sent you a PM about that, and if you looked into the discussion, i hope you agree with me that the question mark is so a-plenty with the ''thank you's''

@Mavic123456 i was referring to your comment. You said:
"Thank you! so what! What is the problem!"
That is why I am asking you, is there a problem (why your comment was like that.)?

Thank you in question mark, a typo error I guess.

not if all the responses end with a question mark with the thank you as the response.
